NEW Message from Manitoba Conservation - An amendment to the Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits Regulation was signed by the Minister on Wednesday, and should be registered today or tomorrow. The amendment extends teh current archery deer season in GHA's 26 and 36 to November 13th.

NEW 2012 ABAM Memberships now being accepted FEES INCREASED - It is getting to be the end of the year, already! The office is now accepting membership applications for 2012. A membership application form is available here. Please note that the fees have gone up by $5, for Family, Youth and Single. The decision to increase member fees was made at the 2011 Annual General Meeting to cover the cost of an increase in Archery Canada fees as well as general inflation. If you have any questions about the increase in fees or the membership please contact the ABAM office.

NEW Congratulations! - ABAM would like to offer congratulations to members Jay Lyon and Kevin Tataryn in qualifying for the Canadian National Archery Team to represent Canada at the World Outdoor Target Championship to be held in Torino Italy this summer. Jay and Kevin also qualified to attend the World Cup Archery event in Oeden, Utah the first week of August.

Manitoba’s Doris Jones and Jason Lyon win big at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India!
Doris Jones, a resident of Selkirk, won a silver medal in the individual competition of the compound event on Saturday, just one point short of the gold medal! Winnipeg’s Jason Lyon, who competed in the men's individual recurve event, also won a silver medal on Sunday! Canadian National Outdoor Target, Field & 3D Championships - A big Congratulations goes out to the following athletes for their podium finishes at the Canadian National Outdoor Target, Field & 3D Championships!

Garry Glenn also shot the Grand Prix event and finished second in the final round. Below were Garry's comments:
'Of the 8 shooters, I stayed till the end and had to shoot against Harvey. The white goat was 37 yards ( my estimate) and I won the toss and chose to shoot first. I shot inside the x about an inch from the dot at 4 o'clock. I looked at Harvey and said "your turn". He shot between the dot and my
arrow. The two arrows were touching.
I shot well, he shot a bit better.'
Again, Congratulations to all athletes for your outstanding achievements!!
